Sent via email by June 30. Student must accept or defer by July 15 via online application site.

SCHOLARSHIP VALUE
-
$6,000 ($750 per semester or $500 per quarter)
- Auto-renews each year provided student enrolls full-time and maintains a cumulative 2.75 GPA reviewed each term. (Full-time = 12 credits first two terms and 15 credits each term thereafter with few exceptions)
- Students may use funds for graduate studies in North Dakota.

Not attending a ND college/university right away?
It's okay! You may defer payment until the time of attendance, as it will be available for six years following your year of high school graduation.

Cumulative GPA of 3.0+

24 or higher ACT score

ND resident high school graduate
- From a ND high school
- From a public high school in a bordering state according to NDCC 15.1-29
- From a nonpublic school in a bordering state while residing with a custodial parent (NDCC 15.1-21.02.6)
- Completed a program of home education supervised in accordance with NDCC 15.1-23

4 Units of English (including literature, composition, and speech)
-
3 Units of Science (to include 1 unit of biology AND 1 unit of chemistry and 1 unit of physics, OR 1 unit of physical science and 1 unit or two 1/2 units of any other science)

3 Units of Social Studies (to include 1 unit of US History, 1 unit of problems of democracy or 1/2 unit US government & 1/2 unit economics, and 1 unit or two 1/2 units of any other social studies)

3 Units of Math (to include 1 unit of Algebra II, 1 unit of math for which Algebra II is a prerequisite, and 1 unit of any other math which may include computer science)

**VCHS will send a copy of your WorkKeys score reports to the ND Department of Public Instruction.
Junior Testing
-
If student does not receive a composite score of 24+ on the ACT, he/she may retake it at a national testing site.
-
If student doesn't obtain a score of at least "5" on each of three designated WorkKeys written assessments, he/she may retake the test.

Senior Testing
-
Seniors applying for either scholarship may take either the ACT or WorkKeys written assessments after the March testing date. Any ACT official test results taken later than the March testing date must be sent to the ND Department of Public Instruction by the student.

Seniors should contact their counselor or principal for information as to when and where these assessments will be administered.
